All Ten Tanners

Scott's 14th Birthday. He wanted Cheese Cake. Maybe you can see the cookies and banana muffins on the counter in the back ground? I made about a billion of those that day too. Scott played his new "Fire Emblem" wii game all evening and enjoyed eating this yummy cake. We had his favorite, roast beef, mashed potatoes and "good" gravy to go with it. He also got a new pillow. At first it was pretty tough to let go of the OLD one, we all know how hard it is to say good bye to an old friend, but in Scott's case, it truly was not good-bye but rather, good riddance! His pillow was just a jumbled up lump of stuffing inside a sewed up cover. It didn't even look or feel like a pillow. Three nights later, he came into my room hugging his new pillow, smiling from ear to ear and said, "I like this pillow. I actually use one now!" When Scott actually acknowledges that he likes something, it's a profound moment because he's pretty easy going and doesn't share his opinions too often. I guess that 1/2 hour I spent at the Tuesday Morning store testing out EVERY pillow in the place to find him the right one (for the "right" price) was time well spent.
